Jeff Holland is courteous and professional. My only issue is they sent me a video saying I needed breaks but no one took the time to explain what the video was showing and why I needed new breaks!! I am not a mechanic, did not understand what I was looking at. I went ahead and had the brakes done just trusting they were being honest with me. Would have been nice to have it explained.

I had an appointment for two weeks out, my appointment was for 9:15 am, I made it 9:12 am. Jeff Holland was my advisor. He stated we should be ready in a couple of hours, and I would bring my vehicle back when I can leave it to get the check engine light and other diagnostic when I can leave it. So just an oil change and tire rotation. I seen other customers come after me and get their vehicle. My vehicle finally was ready at 3:15 pm, I asked should it be discounted and he stated no, I said but my vehicle was pushed to the side and what’s the point of an appointment if I’m treated like a walk in. Very disappointed

I needed service on my truck due to a check engine light. I reached out to my service guy and asked for availability and an appointment. I was told to bring it in early Monday morning. I dropped it off Sunday evening so it would be there first thing Monday morning. It sat there for 4 days without so much as a glance. I had to go pick it back up Thursday night due to not even being looked at by anyone. Terrible service!!!!!

Frontline service did a good job. We worked with Sean, who was friendly and helpful throughout. Backend part of the service has significant opportunity for improvement. It took 5 days for them to look at and diagnose our car, but they kept it onsite the whole time. I don’t know if they’re understaffed, give priority to larger customers who jump to the front of the line, or something different, but we’ve had better service experiences most other places. The repair, after the fact, was done correctly. However, it’s the middle lag that’s caused me to tell 20 other people how bad the experience was. What was surprising was four of those people had similar experiences at Sunrise. No hostilities here but passing along the feedback so your team can improve. I hope so, but we will likely look to Keras Chevrolet or Landers Ford for our next purchase.

I had to rinse the soap, off of the lower body behind both back doors, that had dried. When we arrived to the service department we checked out with the cashier, and were handed our keys. The car was not in the bay so we asked a different service advisor from ours (since he was helping another customer). The free service advisor held up the key fob set off the car alarm and said, “there it is” without even looking for it. He turned around and started to walk away. I asked where and he turned around, cupped his hand around his ear and said “it’s either in the front or in the back”. I told him we had already looked in the front and as he was walking away said “well, then it’s in the back”. I asked if he wanted to have someone go get it and he said that our service advisor (who was still busy) would handle it. So my wife went and got her car. When I asked to speak with the manager, both the service manager and shop manager were of no help. They said that since their service advisors work on commission they will not help any other customers except their own, which to be honest, is the worst customer service mentality I have ever experienced. I will not be bringing any of my vehicles back for service. I was going to try and schedule my oil change, however, I found another GMC dealership that was able to provide better customer service and at a cheaper rate than your service department. Will not be returning for purchases or service.

Jeff Holland was great. The service cost more than I expected. I signed on the computer pad for $488.00 which I thought was high for the service that I requested; but then the bill turned out to be over $550.00. I was surprised by the difference. Jeff Holland is excellent. But GM’s response to the drivetrain clunk issue through the bulletin is a slap in the face to loyal customers, and GM should be embarrassed. This response will make me try out Dodge and Ford. I might be willing to give GM a chance to right this wrong, should I trade the vehicle in to Sunrise. Either way, I refuse to drive a $65,000 vehicle that has a loud noise. I get looks every where I go because it’s so noticeable.

Issue: Check Engine Light Illuminated and Engine power is reduced The check engine light was intermittently illuminated. It stayed on for a couple of days and then disappeared, occurring multiple times over 1-2 weeks. Occasionally, I received a message stating: "Engine power is reduced." Full Story: 1st Service: I took my car in for an engine oil change and explained the issue and (inform him that my car model has two special coverages which are mentioning same symptoms). I was advised to replace the car battery to resolve the problem. However, I mentioned that I hadn't noticed any battery-related issues like dim lights or trouble starting the car, indicating the battery was fine, it could be related to special coverage. The advisor insisted that the car's logs showed something that warranted a battery replacement to resolve the check engine light and reduced engine power issues. I agreed to the recommendation and had the battery replaced. 2nd Service: Within a week, the same issue (check engine light and reduced engine power) reoccurred. I scheduled another appointment and brought the car back, mentioning that the problem persisted despite the battery replacement. The advisor noted a transmission issue in the logs and asked me to leave the car for 3-5 days for further inspection. He explained that based on the diagnosis, he would recommend the necessary service. If I didn't accept the service, I would have to pay the diagnosis charges, but if I agreed, I would only pay for the additional service. After a few days, the advisor called to inform me that the technician found nothing wrong with the car. Everything was fine, and despite test driving it twice, they couldn't recreate the issue. I was asked to pay the diagnosis fees and take the car back. This was very disappointing, as I knew there was issue with car, I had to pay the diagnosis fees and was told to return if the issue reoccurred. I had no choice but to pay and take my car back. Following are few question and answers which we had, Me: Could you please provide me with the log details? Advisor: No, that information is not for customers. I am providing you with the customer's copy, which is all you should have. Me: What was the error code that led to the recommendation to replace the battery? Advisor: I don't know. Me: But you recommended it, so you should know. Advisor: I slept after that; I don't have that information now. 3rd Service: The issue reoccurred the same evening. I monitored it for a few days to observe the behavior so that I could provide detailed information to the advisor if the issue disappeared again. I booked another appointment and requested a different advisor, as I wasn't getting honest advice or satisfactory answers from the previous one. However, when I arrived at the service center, the same advisor attended to me. I explained everything again and mentioned that last time they couldn't recreate the issue. I shared my observations, noting that the problem often occurred while taking long left turns on rough roads/surfaces and that the engine seemed to require more power when starting. I clarified that these were just my observations and that the expert technicians should know better. I left my car at the service center for a few days. This time, I received a message and a video recording from the technician. One issue was fixed under special coverage, but I was asked to approve additional services suggested by the technician: 1. The purge pump was repaired by the technician, covered by special coverage. 2. A broken wire needed fixing. (Which I was ready to approve) 3. Engine throttle service was recommended based on the car's mileage. (I wanted to ask the technician if this was necessary, as it had been done at 20,000 miles 12 months ago.) 4. Mass airflow sensor cleaning service was recommended. ( I wanted to check if it could be skipped for now.) I went to the service center for clarification but was late and couldn't meet the advisor or technician. I spoke to the advisor on the phone, who said these services were mandatory and couldn't be skipped. I decided to return the next day to talk to the technician. The next day, I met the advisor, who said the technician recommended the cleaning service due to dirt. I showed him the video where the technician mentioned the recommendation was based on mileage. The advisor admitted he was seeing the video for the first time with me and agreed that the service could be skipped. I also noticed in the video that the technician was saying he hadn't tested my drivability complaint yet. I asked the advisor why the technician would test it if he had already identified the root cause. That driving condition I told him to understand the issue if technician could not find anything wrong again. The advisor removed that entry item, which would have otherwise been charged. I agreed to fix the broken wire and clean the mass airflow sensor, as the advisor said it hadn't been done earlier. The next day, I received a message to pick up the car. The bill was around $900. I asked if there could be a discount since I had already paid a lot for this issue (battery replacement, diagnosis fees). Ideally, I shouldn't have paid the diagnostic fee if I was taking the service. The current bill also included a charge for a battery test, which shouldn't be there since they sold me a new battery to fix the issue. The advisor said he didn't have the authority to change the invoice. I requested him to talk to the manager. He said manager is on vacation for Easter and will be back on Tuesday. I was asked to pay the bill and take to car for now, come back on Tuesday to do argument with manager. He used the word "argument," which I found unnecessary as I was polite and only requesting to check the possibility of discount. I decided not to pick up the car that day and planned to speak with the manager. I went to reception to get the manager's email ID to write in advance and reduce the meeting time on Tuesday. However, the receptionist informed me that the advisor's manager was in the office and guided me to his room. I explained the whole story to the manager, who listened attentively and asked me to wait in the waiting area. After a few minutes, the same advisor came to me with an updated invoice where the battery test charge was removed. Although I wanted to discuss the diagnostic fee as well, I had already spent a lot of time on this, so I paid the amount and took my car back. Overall, I faced several problems with service: 1. Lack of Expertise at Service center: They were not able to identify the root cause of issue in first two visit despite of knowing that this car model has purge pump and turbo charger failure issues for which special coverage is provided. 2. Misdiagnosis: The initial recommendation to replace the battery did not resolve the issue, and further diagnosis did not find anything wrong, indicating a possible misdiagnosis. 3. Inconsistent Advice: I received conflicting information and recommendations from the advisor, leading to confusion and frustration. 4. Unsuccessful Repairs: Despite multiple inspections and services, the technicians were unable to recreate or permanently fix the issue. 5. Financial Burden: I incurred significant costs for services, including battery replacement, diagnosis fees, and additional recommended services. 6. Lack of Transparency: I struggled to obtain detailed information about the error codes and logs that led to the service recommendations. 7. Service Center Experience: I faced inconvenience and disappointment with the service center's handling of the issue, including the advisor's attitude and the need to escalate the matter to the manager for resolution.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience...took my wife's Suburban in with a broken headrest and was told by Jerry that it would take a "day or so" to fix. 2 full days later and after us having to check in to get the status of the repair, Jerry FINALLY came back at the end of the 2nd day only to tell us that the headrest was broken and that the part would need to be ordered. Went in for 1 of 2 free oil changes I received with my new certified pre-owned Sierra. Experience felt like a time share presentation. Have only put a few thousand miles on the truck since purchase, service rep made it sound like I needed $1000 worth of up sales to make it run for a few thousand more, because I purchased it from another dealership. Would have been nice to have a loaner vehicle or shuttle, but they couldn’t help that. Service representative said I had to answer the survey with all “Extremely Satisfied” responses or he would lose his job and I wouldn’t get a $100 credit for my next visit. I had an oil change and tire rotation an balance. After picking Mt car up I had to turn around and go back because my car was vibrating badly. After that fix, I had to turn around and go back for the 2nd time because my car was still vibrating. The 3rd time my car was fixed and not vibrating. This is the 2nd time that I have had problems with the service. I ordered some mats for my car and paid for them. I had to make 4 trips to the dealership because the wrong mats was being ordered, even when the stock number was provided. I live 25 miles away from the dealership. This was expensive just for mats. Service maintenance team needs to pay mor attention to the work they are performing. However on a positive note, Rob is awesome.

I’m very dissatisfied with the protocol Sunrise currently has in place. I was notified about a recall on my vehicle and promptly scheduled an appointment. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the necessary part was not available. I was then told I would need to leave my vehicle so it could be inspected and the part ordered. This process is completely unacceptable and highly inconvenient. As a customer, I expect a more organized and considerate approach—especially for a recall issue. Sunrise does not offer loaner vehicles or shuttle services, which only adds to the inconvenience. I had to take a vacation day just to make the appointment and arrange for family to help me get to where I needed to be. Now, I’m left waiting for the part to arrive, and I’ll have to go through the same hassle again to bring my vehicle back in. If customers are scheduling appointments for specific recall-related repairs, it’s reasonable to expect that the necessary parts would be available. Maintaining a healthy stock of recall parts should be a priority. That said, I do want to acknowledge Rob—he was professional, courteous, and did his best to explain the situation. He provided the clarity and expectation-setting that should have been communicated before I brought in my vehicle.

Autos have changed considerably since I last bought a truck 12 years ago. I still have much to learn about my new Chevy Colorado. There are buttons on the back of the steering wheel I still need to figure out. I think they are audio controls. If so, I will figure those out when I figure out how to set stations on the radio. Anyway, the radio was not what I would consider a selling feature. I'll figure it out in time. At the dealership, the salesman and I did a thorough walk around of the truck followed by a test drive. Took my 2024 GMC SIERRA for oil change / rotation on 6/16 at 9:15 dropped off with Jeff. Jeff call said truck was ready .paid for service, started to drive off noticed truck acted like it was miss firing. Got on 385 truck not shifting correct , would not excelerate smoothly. Got off on poplar pulled over. And a Huge ball of blue/ gray smoke came out of pipe, Called Jeff he said come back, didn’t think I would make it back . Truck running terrible. Got back to Sunrise , Jeff called some man from the service department, took truck back , they said it had way to much oil in motor. Said they drained oil and put correct amount in motor. I ask Jeff for paperwork showing what they had done , he said no paperwork. I ask what if this problem might caused damaged to my motor that would show up later on Jeff said just bring back if any problem But if some problem does happen later on I don’t have any paperwork showing what happened Jeff has always done a good job , but I feel there should’ve been some type notes/ paperwork showing someone had put around 3 qts to much oil in my truck. It did drive ok on way back home but it still leaves me wondering if some damage will show up down later on. NOT VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE I RECEIVED . Not sure I will bring truck back to Sunrise/ Collierville for service.

I felt intimidated by my service advisor, Jeff. Upon checking in, I presented a coupon which had expired on 5/18. I did not realize the coupon for 6 qt oil change & tire rotation for $124.80 was expired. The advisor, Jeff said they didn't have such coupon out, but I showed him the coupon from this dealership and location-then he said it had expired and he could not use it. Then I showed him another bonus coupon. My amount was going to between $200-299, he told me I could not use 2 coupons at the same time since he was going to use my $15 certificate - I told him I knew I couldn't use both, the $20 was more than the $15. I asked the cashier if she could ask the manager about the coupon. She said he said I could not, then later I found out the manager Tony Roberson was on vacation until Monday and Jeff said he was the assistant manager and the cashier couldn't do anything, I wasn't trying to get the cashier to do anything I was just telling her what I was talking about not "intimidating" her as Jeff was stating as he came back in the room while I was talking to the cashier. Therefore I don't know what "manager" said he couldn't let me use the coupon since this person did not come out just advisor Jeff.

In late May, I had to leave my car at the dealership for repairs because my radio screen went black, and my factory warranty was about to expire. It took 8 days just to diagnose the issue. Since I live alone and needed transportation for work, I had to rent a car, which cost me $600. Now that my factory warranty has expired (June 10, 2025), I’ve decided I’ll never return to this dealership. It’s unacceptable that it took over a week just to determine the problem. Once the issue was diagnosed, the part needed to be ordered. In the meantime, I was able to pick up my car and drive it while waiting for the part to arrive. However, after several days without hearing from the dealership, I called them on a Monday and learned that the part had arrived the previous week—but no one had called me to schedule a return visit. I made an appointment to bring my car back for the replacement screen to be installed. Unfortunately, during the installation, the technician damaged the interior trim around the radio. The dealership then had to order replacement trim, and now I have to bring my car back yet again to have that fixed. Thankfully, the trim repair will only take 30 minutes, so I can wait while it’s being done. Overall, this has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The delays, lack of communication, and damage caused during the repair process have left me with no desire to ever use this dealership again.

When I scheduled the oil change for my Chevrolet Equinox I was told it would be a 2 to 3 hour wait while the service was preformed, to my great surprise, the wait was less than an hour. Jeff Holland, as usual, was courteous, friendly, but also professional. When I tried to use the GM Rewards to pay part of the bill, there was a problem with getting my account number to access my points. The young man who was helping me to check out tried to help, but unfortunately, I was unable to gain access. He helped me in every way possible, and he even called his supervisor to come assist. Together we worked to gain access but were unable. I was having a "come apart", but they were kind, helpful and understanding. I wish I could remember their names, because they certainly went above and beyond in trying to help me.

The service advisor was very curt. I had a check engine light and when I told him we have an extended warranty. He asked which and I told him. His first, comment was very sarcastic and condescending. He said, "Well you picked the best one in America, didn't you!" Then he proceeded to tell me horror stories about the warranty company. He told me he'd follow up, buy didn't. I had to call to get a status. In addition, he forgot about the tire sensor problem. I had to remind him that needed to be fixed as well. A great response would have been, "We'll be happy to file that for you." It seems like actual customer service training would be appropriate at Sunrise.

After waiting there for 4 hours when i noticed 2 of my chrome lug nut covers were missing. I had washed the car a couple of days earlier they were there. My car only has 16000 miles so is not driven a lot. I returned to the dealer and Jeff pulled up the video and tried to show they were missing when I came in. I was not able to tell anything from the video so I don’t know how he could. And supposedly your dealer doesn’t carry these covers anymore. I feel like they were not put back on car at the dealer. I will not be returning.

I took my vehicle in for an electrical diagnosis, after trying to be convinced to have the transmission diagnosed for double the amount. I took my car to Coleman Transmission for a diagnostic before bringing it in and was told that there wasn’t anything wrong with my transmission. The service advisor did a scan on my vehicle and 1st told me that the codes wasn’t reading and wanted to know why did Coleman Transmission delete the codes. I told him that I had no knowledge of that, but I would call to find out why. He told me that there was no need to call them and we went back out and mysteriously the codes appeared. I didn’t hear anything back until I called and left a message for the advisor to call me about my vehicle. He called later that day and told me that the technician and another technician drove my car and couldn’t find anything wrong other than a whining noise coming from the transmission which wasn’t true. The sound has been there and I was very knowledgeable of the noise and it wasn’t the transmission. I was told that it would cost me 185 for electrician to perform a diagnostic. When I picked my car up I paid 235.00 and when I asked for a copy of the diagnostic I had to beg for the report only to find out that it was dated for the same morning that I brought it in and the same exact time. This tells me that there was no diagnostic really done on my vehicle however I was charged as if it was. I would really like for someone to take a look at this situation. I will be reaching out for some advice on this situation and help on what I should do about the dishonesty. Coleman Taylor, and Auto Zone scanned my vehicle for no charge however your service advisor scanned it while I stood there and watched which cost me 235.00.

Very disappointed in my experience at Sunrise this day. Service tech seemed very distracted and moving on to next person instead of listening to what I was saying. Said putting additives in gas and oil. I said I didn't need the additives due to using non ethanol gas. The additives were placed in my car anyway and I was charged for both. Did not explain any of the cost. Car was ready and placed in pick up area. I waited and waited 30 minutes and no one notified me that my car was ready. I went in little office where cashier was and ask if my paperwork had been brought in she told me in a very sharp manor that I could go sit back down and my Service person would contact me. I explained that the car was sitting out there for 30 min. and ask would she check and she said NO very rudely and said your tech will contact you, I'm sure he is busy. Talk about frustrating and being treated rudely. The girl and I say that lightly because she was young was very disrespectable. She just kept stapling things together. NOT ONCE offered to check. Finally after an hr I went to the Service Tech Desk and he was a rude. Said I sent you a text and tried to call you. Not one missed call or text from him. I showed him my phone. Once I got in my car to leave guess what the text came through after the fact. Felt like service advisor was calling me a liar. I ask about the additives and he said I told you we would put those in there. I am a senior citizen and to be treated such disrespect was humiliating and do not appreciate it. I will be taking my car to another dealership for service in the future. FYI: I have worked for the #1 Athletic and fitness company in the united states for 43 yrs and not once would I have ever treated anyone with disrespect like that. My company employees over 3000 ppl in the Memphis Mid South Area. We have a platform here that we can post experiences with outside vendors of any type on. This is the second time my new truck has been in the shop. This time it was in for 20 days. I had trouble tracking the status of the work during this visit. After one week, I called to check on progress. The service rep told me that I would know when something with my truck changed when he knew, and I should watch the app. After two weeks, I stopped by the dealership in person to discuss repairs with my service representative. He had no information for me other than my truck was "on the docket." Again, he pointed me to the app. He even turned his computer screen to show me a spreadsheet and started to give me a lecture on how an app works. We were in the same building as the mechanics, and yet, he either wasn't allowed to or refused to ask about my truck's service. For a status update, I had to ask to speak to a supervisor. This boss was able to tell me my truck had been driven multiple times to diagnose the intermittent engine issue. The truck's malfunctioning air conditioner, however, had not yet been worked on. At least, this report let me know my truck was not just sitting on the lot waiting to be looked at. The status update let me know I needed to renew my rental car contract. Warranty work on my auto was completed free of charge. However, three weeks of car rental is expensive. The service-tracking app changed status twice: the day after I dropped off my truck, and 19 days later, when, repairs were complete.

Why not just say you are busy and make the appointment for a later date- the day you will actually look at the car! Just held my car hostage for over a week. It is very frustrating.

Arrived for recall repairs. That was done however, a inspection was preformed while at Sunrise. I received a text message concerning two issues. To repair both issues would be $2300 ÷/-. I will have both issues taking care of for less that $1100. At Reliegh Tire in Olive Branch. Also, when I arrived to get my vehicle I was told I would have to get my keys from the service rep that I first spoke with. He was with another customer. I asked another service rep if he could help me and I was told I would HAVE to wait. I did finally get my keys with help form a polite young man at the cashier's area. Your pricing is completely out of line. Your service rep are short and abrupt. And lastly I do not or will ever HAVE to be talked to in such a disrespectful manner.

My experience was terrible. I brought my vehicle in because I was experiencing what I thought was an electrical issue with the headlights. After speaking with advisor Jeff Holland I thought I might need an electrical inspection but it would take over a week to get my vehicle diagnosed. I asked Jeff to have a new battery installed and advised I would return at a more convenient time to have the vehicle inspected and serviced. Believing that he would replace the battery with the same type I arrived to find the bill for the battery replacement was almost $600.00. 200 of which was for the labor. When I asked why the battery charge ea so much higher than any previous battery change i have ever purchased in my life he became very defensive and told me i didn’t ask him the price i just asked to change the battery. I guess when you ask for a service it is the policy of the dealership to make sure it charges you for the most expensive service available to up charge customers. Also when I inquired about how much a headlight bulb replacement would cost and how much an individual bulb costs for my vehicle, I was met with a barrage of deflective answers that and told I would have to contact the parts department. I have been a customer for years and spent thousands of dollars at this dealership but never in my life have I ever been lied to my face so blatantly about servicing my vehicle. The service department is dishonest, manipulative , and frankly terrible a last it always seems my vehicle comes back in worse condition than when I brought it in. I will never visit this dealership again for any reason and highly recommend to everyone to find a different place to service your vehicle. It quite literally is a scam and the work is subpar. When you don’t go right along with what the advisor recommends they will up charge you to make sure they get their quota no matter how long you have been a loyal customer. I am extremely dissatisfied and appalled by their business practices.

Was told vehicle was going to be there for a bit as the diesel tech was backed up. Was ok with it because I knew on the front end. Was told the DEF tank pump was not producing enough pressure and they were going to take care of it by replacing the tank. They got me back on the road before the week ended. Oil change was a 5-star. Jeff Holland was a 5-star (as always). The only thing that surprised me is when I was asked 'Are we rotating the tires today?' To which I replied, "Don't you always do that with the oil change?' I was informed that tire rotation is now a charge by itself. When told that the tire rotation now adds an additional $50 to an already high bill, I opted out of that. I have had the oil changed at Sunrise since the truck was purchased from Sunrise but I may have to find a new place that has tire rotation INCLUDED (which it should be). Other than that, no complaints.

I came in with an issue - a KNOWN ISSUE and you did not do what was needed to be done. If you look at the Service Bulletin there is a 4 step process that needs to be done. I had an “appointment” for 7:30am. I received email and text indicating my appointment had moved to 10:30am. However, I got a call from the service department instructing me it was a system error and to still show up at 7:30. I arrived on time at 7:30. In addition to oil change I had given okay for mass air flow filter cleaning and tire balancing. The tire balancing was not performed due to a machine issue I later was told. However, I was still at the dealership until noon. It took 4.5 hours for an oil change. I was never proactively communicated to by my service advisor, Rob. I had to go approach him after about 3.5 hours for an update. Completely unacceptable and ridiculous to take so long for simple service especially when an appointment was scheduled in advance. This dealer needs to resume shuttle service for customers if they’re not going to be able to service vehicles in a reasonable time frame for the services requested. In no world should an oil change and tire rotation result in a 4.5 hour wait.
